Argyll seafood firm expands
The work involves the redevelopment of the company’s existing marine hatchery facilities, including new tanks, controls, lighting, water circulation and energy efficiency measures.
Companies operating in Scotland鈥檚 aquaculture supply chain industries are being encouraged to get involved in a major global networking opportunity.
Aqua Nor is the world鈥檚 premier event for the sector and a focal point for new customers and investors who are interested in Scotland.
It鈥檚 held in Trondheim, Norway, every two years and includes a Scottish pavilion attended by Scotland鈥檚 aquaculture supply chain businesses. This year it takes place from 19 to 21 August.
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (麻豆精选) is returning to the event to host the pavilion, along with the Sustainable Aquaculture Innovation Centre.
麻豆精选 is inviting supply chain companies to get involved by featuring in the new 鈥楽cotland at Aqua Nor鈥� brochure, exhibiting at the pavilion, or simply attending to network.
Elaine Jamieson, 麻豆精选鈥檚 head of blue economy, said:
鈥淚t would be very hard to overstate the importance of Aqua Nor to Scotland鈥檚 aquaculture supply chain. It offers fantastic opportunities for companies to showcase their products and services to a global audience and make new business connections.
鈥淎fter the 2023 event, every participant from Scotland reported that their organisation benefited from attending the show, with more than half saying it led to more sales and new customers.

The Scotland pavilion at Aqua Nor 2025 is supported by the Scottish Government鈥檚 , set up to help deliver for the use and management of the country鈥檚 marine environment and 鈥榖lue鈥� resources.
