Ri Cruden, established 20 years ago by Ian Cruden and now led by brothers Rory and Callum, has built its reputation on delivering innovative renewable energy solutions across Scotland, from ferry terminals to major infrastructure projects. 

The company has invested 拢311,000 to revamp part of its premises into a dedicated off-site fabrication workshop, with 麻豆精选 contributing up to 拢77,805 toward the project. 

The upgraded facility includes a space saving vertical carousel machine, a robot welding machine, an automatic bandsaw and energy-efficient systems powered by the site鈥檚 existing solar panels and battery storage. Together, these investments are expected to: 

• Increase productivity by around 20% 

• Reduce annual energy and maintenance costs by 15% 

• Provide facilities to fabricate components on site 

• Cut the company鈥檚 carbon footprint reducing travel  

• Provide a safer, more controlled training environment for apprentices 

More than a quarter of Ri Cruden鈥檚 workforce are apprentices. The new workshop will allow them to gain skills in a real-world but controlled environment, helping the business train the next generation of tradespeople locally while contributing to the region鈥檚 green economy.
